Approaching the next playable testing phase

U.A. High School

My Hero Unbound is approaching its next playable testing phase. More than 70 quirks have completed their primary gameplay and visual testing, including their abilities, passives, attributes, and individual combat identities. Bugs may still surface during live testing, but the core quirk roster is now considered playable.

The new progression system is functional: players earn LXP, gain visible levels, receive stat tokens at designated milestones, improve four physical stats, and unlock quirk abilities and Innate Techniques through progression. The leveling interface, XP display, attribute system, support-item integration, and level behavior have all been tested.

Ultra Rumble, Capture the Flag, Free-for-All, and Duels are functional. The introductory tutorial is also largely complete, with only minor presentation and pacing changes remaining. It places players in a destroyed-city sequence as Deku and teaches movement, combat, and ability use before sending them into the main world.

Every quirk now has its own collectible fragment, with sixteen matching fragments combining into a Quirk Syringe. Support items are functional and correctly apply their intended benefits and drawbacks, although several recently added items still require custom textures.

The largest remaining task is the city. The main spawn plaza and U.A. campus are complete, while the surrounding city blocks are still being filled with buildings, shops, encounters, and playable activities. Additional work remains on daily missions, boss content, rewards, economy balancing, final textures, and live-player testing.
